United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Guinea-Bissau

Closure of UNIOGBIS

The United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Guinea‑Bissau (UNIOGBIS) was established on 26 June 2009. Its mandate ended on 31 December 2020, subsumed to the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS).

Resolution 1876 - The Council extended the mandate of UNOGBIS until 31 December and requested the SG to establish a UN Integrated Peacebuilding Office in Guinea-Bissau (UNIOGBIS) to succeed UNOGBIS for an initial period of 12 months after that.
