On 18 November 2025, Kaha Imnadze, SRSG for Central Asia and Head of the UNRCCA, met with H.E. Temirbek Erkinov, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The upcoming yearly meeting of Central Asian states foreign ministries at the level of deputy foreign ministers on UNRCCA platform was discussed, along with SRSG’s recent visit to the southern regions of the Kyrgyz Republic in September 2025.
SRSG Imnadze commended the progress achieved in border demarcation, strengthening of trade and business ties, and growing interaction and cooperation between provincial and local authorities. Welcoming the deepening cooperation across the Fergana Valley, the Special Representative reaffirmed the United Nations’ readiness to continue supporting national and regional efforts aimed at sustaining dialogue, expanding connectivity, and promoting peace and stability in the region.
