The contribution by the Government of Japan will go to executing the project “Support to Battle Area Clearance (BAC) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)” in Libya, which runs from 1 April 2014 through 31 March 2015 and is to be carried out in partnership with Libyan authorities.
The project aims to create a safer and more secure Libya through a reduced threat from explosive remnants of war, weapons and unsecured ammunition by enhancing clearance and disposal operations. Libyan communities, particularly the population in the areas of Hun, Suknah and Waddan, will directly benefit from the project.
