West African states continue efforts to resolve Gambia electoral crisis

Leaders from the West African regional bloc ECOWAS have returned to The Gambia in efforts to resolve the country's electoral crisis, the UN Security Council heard on Friday.

Ambassadors were briefed by the UN Special Representative for the region [2], Mohamed Ibn Chambas, who also provided an election roundup from neighbouring countries and some good news about the kidnapped Chibok girls in Nigeria.
