SRSG IBN CHAMBAS CONDEMNS THE ATTACKS IN ADAMAWA STATE (NIGERIA)

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS), Mohamed Ibn Chambas condemns the suicide attacks on 21 November in Adamawa State, Nigeria, which resulted in several casualties.

Mohamed Ibn Chambas expresses his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government and people of Nigeria. He hopes that the perpetrators of these crimes will be swiftly brought to justice. 

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for West Africa and the Sahel reiterates the support of the United Nations to the Government and people of Nigeria in their efforts to fight terrorism and violent extremism
