Abuja, 8 December, 2021 - The United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS) in collaboration with the Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS), and with the support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is organizing the Annual West Africa and Sahel Youth Forum , in Abuja, Nigeria, from December 9 to 10, 2021. This second forum will be devoted to the theme: "Young women and men at the heart of innovation and the construction of peaceful and resilient societies".

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel, Mahamat Saleh ANNADIF, will attend the closing ceremony of the forum.
