The fifth meeting of the Ministerial coordination platform (MCP) of Sahel strategies was held on 14 June 2017 in Ndjamena, Chad. It was chaired by Hissein Brahim Taha, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chad who also chairs the Platform. Pierre Buyoya, High Representative of the African Union Mission for Mali and Sahel (MISAHEL), Angel Losada, Special Envoy of the European Union for the Sahel, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS). Several other subregional, regional and international organizations took also part to the meeting.
