Today, United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert commenced a visit to Israel.
Following the regular cadence of discussions with stakeholders key to the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolution 1701 (2006), the visit will see the Special Coordinator meet with senior Israeli officials for discussions aimed at advancing the implementation of resolution 1701 and the November 2024 cessation of hostilities understanding.
