UNOWAS promotes United Nations sustaining peace approach

An international conference on hybrid safety governance in Africa was held from 21 to 22 July 2017 in Accra,  capital of Ghana.

Organized by the African Security Sector Network (ASSN), the objective of this conference was to discuss the results of the research project on hybrid security governance in Africa, in particular the policy and program of the security sector reform, and state building.

UNOWAS promoted the United Nations sustaining peace approach that integrates security governance issues and the strengthening of state institutions.

As part of the participants, UNOWAS promoted the United Nations sustaining peace approach that integrates security governance issues and the strengthening of state institutions.

ECOWAS, African Union, ECCAS, IGAD, OECD, IDRC, KAIPTC, and academics attended the conference.
