"Media and journalists can and must bring a vital contribution to the prevention of violent extremism"
A three-day seminar on "The role of journalists and the media in preventing violence, including violent extremism in West Africa and the Sahel", organized by the United Nations Office for West Africa And the Sahel (UNOWAS), in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), started this Monday 12 June in Dakar.
